So the Journal of Asian Martial Arts (JAMA) has just announced that it is ceasing publication, which it is celebrating with a new website and book. It is not clear exactly what this means with a new website being launched where “new articles will be added periodically,” but print publication is definitely ceasing and subscriptions are being refunded.
Blurb about the new JAMA book:
Thirty-six highly qualified martial art scholars and practitioners have joined in celebrating the two decades of the journal’s work by contributing to this special book. Each article was written specifically for this project with topics representing the rich variety found in the Asian martial traditions.
Unfortunately, no direct link to purchase but you can do it through paypal. Again from JAMA:
Go to their website (www.paypal.com), click on “Send Money” ($24.95 total) in the top menu bar. Follow directions there. Our email for this is:
